With the increasing traffic problem in Ahmedabad city, the number of traffic violations is also increasing. However, till now, those caught violating the traffic rules were walking away on the pretext that they did not have cash. But now with the digital age, Ahmedabad traffic police has also become high tech. Now the traffic police is going to use digital medium to collect fines for violating traffic rules. With the changing age of technology in the country, government departments are also becoming high tech. At that time, the traffic police is also becoming high tech to collect fines. Now the police will also charge fines from the POS machine from the drivers who do not want to pay cash. Payment can be made through this machine through card payment, UPI, QR-Code, bhim app etc. The traffic police signed a memorandum of understanding with the State Bank of India. Informing about this, JCP of Ahmedabad Traffic Department Mayank Singh Chawda said that at present the traffic police has entered into a memorandum of understanding with the State Bank of India for the POS machine. As well as 300 machines will be given to the traffic police at the initial stage. However, a receipt will also be given to the driver for collecting the fine from this machine. Photos or videos can also be downloaded from this machine. In addition, if a driver gets into a scuffle with the police, his photo or video can also be downloaded from this machine. Thus, the traffic police has now started digital payment. This will also reduce the level of alleged corruption in the traffic police department.
